...learning about finances, health, mindset and personal growth

The journey to freedom...
I'm from a small town in the Southwest Georgia where income in the 1980's for my houshold was less than $20k. Growing up for me in the early 80s was all about survival. Being financially wise and understanding financial literacy along with health/wellness and personal growth were not top priority in my home.
I'm not even sure if the basic knowledge concerning credit, financing, interest rates, savings, 401(k) or Roth IRA retirement accounts were even taught to my mother at that time. So these topics never took precedence or were discussed. Let along, being healthy and aiming for personal growth.
Over the years I've observed where my lack of financial knowledge and the basic "know how" when it comes to finances cause drastic detours in my life. I've made terrible decisions in this area due to a lack of "financial knowledge"in my earlier years.
I sought approval for a mortage back in 2016, not really knowing what was truly required. The bankers looked at me and my credit report and stated, they couldn't do anything for me. At that moment, I knew it was time to take control and educate myself about finances. I begin researching everything I could about credit and money and boy did it pay off!
Now years later, I've learned so much and my life financially has experience a 180 degree change. This change also freed mental space for the realization that there was work to be done in the area of health/wellness and personal development. That's why I feel passinate about sharing with others my journey, in hopes of giving the opportunity for others to see life from a different view and the endless possibilities that await!
